I have a 65 conv the door panels appear to be replaced they do not fit very well large space where wing window is any help out there

That's pretty typical...

of older Al Knoch door panels. Interior judges could spot his door panels easily from the gaps near the vent windows (wide enough to put your small finger into)... I don't know if they've improved in this area or not in recent years, but it was something we just lived with back then.

The other door panel mfgrs didn't have this problem, but their texture, grain, and stitching detail was equally noticeable. So, you were between a rock and a hard place trying to find 100% correct repro door panels and it was a 'teeter totter' trade off among sources.
