Acquired this booklet from a dealer friend years ago. It's a green covered pocket size thing with all the R.P.O. numbers, colors and etc. Corvette got the last 3 of the 31 pages, and one of the thirty various models drawn on the front cover. It lists five engine options for the 1961 Corvette, starting with the 315 HP R.P.O. 354 "11.0:1 compr ratio" 283. This is not news to most of you, but...
Anyone have any comments on it's accuracy? Omissions? Items listed that didn't sell?
For example, there are two brake options on page 29, R.P.O. 687 (HD Brakes and Special Steering) and R.P.O. 686 (Special linings). There is also a 24-gallon tank listed, but as L.P.O. 1625 A. I assume L.P.O. means Limited Production Option. My NCRS pocket guide does not list a "number sold" for the tank.
Does F.O.A. mean Factory Optional Accessory? The heater-defroster is F.A.O. 101, for example.
Just took a quick look at N. Adams' Vol 1, and will check archives next.
Your comments?
Also, why didn't the 1959 version include the Corvette? It was called "Options and Accessories"
