I finally tracked down a correct 7028207 Q-Jet for my late January built '68 327/300 4-Speed.
The carb came off of an early march built motor, and the base plate is stamped 0438 (Feb. 17, 1968).
I purchased another Q-Jet base plate stamped 3557 which is perfect for my car over 6 months ago.
I just found out that the 3557 base plate is a little different than the plate that came on the carb. It is missing an attaching screw hole & the PVC hose connection is on the wrong side & it probably won't mate up.
Aside from contacting the company that I bought it from, does anyone know of a reputeable source for carb parts such as dated base plates?
