Around the block, 5mile then 50mile rule

I have never PVd, but I have vintage rallied my 63 quite a bit. On thing I like to do with notebook close at hand, is drive around the block, then fix everyhing that is wrong. Drive 5 miles and fix everything that is wrong, lasty drive 50 miles straight and fix everyhting that is wrong. Repete if necissary. It is amazing what won't work after the car warms up. Never had a car fail me on a Rally. Eric

        Free drop of the hood

I didn't have to do that on my PV. I wouldn't do it as I don't like it. I just lowered the hood and push down on each side. As far as I know its your choice which way you close it. Just make sure it closes proper.
