63 Front Hood Emblem Diffs?

I took the old pitted hood emblem off and am replacing with a used original(I think) I bought. On the bench I see different markings on the back. Both 3797400 but different markings and they're not the same size. The one marked K.V. is thicker and laid flat on the nose. The other sits up a fraction, even after cleaning the relief holes. Which one is the repro?

Rich, compare the fleur de lis size and the lines under it on the one you believe is the original to the size of the fleur de lis and lines on the other. The petals on one will be thinner than the other. Saying that, the other will be a later service replacement.

I just can't remember if the original is the thick one or the thin one (fleur de lis)

Thanks Robert....So FE2 & FE4 is the one I just bought, good. It appears the one on the car was an older repro which I suspected.

Harry, so it appears that the original has the thinner & crisper petals on the fleur de lis. The other is blurry and not as nice. Makes sense now.
