On January 23rd I posted:
"1st ed 84-86 TIM&JG lists the CC3 Transparent Roof Panel (page 61) as ALMAC PLASTIC "ACUVUE". My 84 CC3 Top shows ACRIVUE? Which one is correct? Do I have a bogus top? How will it be judged? Eric #3,182"
I have since sent an email to Laird Plastics (The name of ALMAC PLASTICS since 1991) Today I recieved this response:
"From: Angelo Alamia, lairdplastics.com (modified to reduce spam)

To: ejackson"at"cablemo.com (modified to reduce spam)
Subject: 1984 Tops
These tops were made as Acrivue "A" Coating supplied to GMC. We no longer make these.
Angelo Alamia."
So it appears that the 84 - 89 TIM&JG should read "ACRIVUE® A" Also note it is mispelled in the 1st ED 87 to 89 TIM&JG see page 70
I have asked for additional information from Laird Plastics, Period brocures, Spec sheets, press releases etc... I will keep you posted Eric #3,182
