Hi all,
I have been trying unsucessfully to adjust the door fit on my 64 conv with no real sucess as of yet. What we have done so far is move the striker up and down, in and out and still get a bit resistance so as it will not close as smoothly as a Mercedes door. My drivers side closes with little to no effort. We are going to start removing the weatherstripping one section at a time to see if this helps. I'm thinking possibly the hinges may be out of adjustment as to not allow an easy closing. One point of interest is the upper vent window does strike the weather stripping trim about half way up before door is fully closed and does resist a bit when closing. Unfortunately the drivers side does the same thing but closes as described earler. Smoothly. Any help here is greatly appreciated.
