Any of the 34 made (per Noland's Vol 2) still out there ? Did they use alternator 1100684 (60 amp) and this voltage regulator 1116366 ?
I don't have the '64 TIM&JG or Corvette shop manual (only have '65 but both items had changed by then), but I DO have a '64 Supplement Chevrolet (passenger) shop manual. This latter reference calls out the alternator and volt reg mentioned above, along with K66 pulse amplifier 1115005.
Since this volt regulator is only a 2-wire, and doesn't have the integral field relay like in the '65 "368"s, a separate relay # 1115827 is required, according to the '64 supplement.
I bought this VR and pulse amp "5005" off eBay about 4 years ago, and were listed as being from a '64 Pontiac Parisienne 4-sp car. Note stamped date 'L3' which is probably December of 1963 (TI was not available at '64 SOP).
So I was wondering, and thought I'd ask the '64 experts, if any known '64 Corvettes have the same 4 'package' components (alternator, volt. reg with separate field relay, and pulse amplifier) ?
