Had a chance yesterday to look at a 58 with RPO684. Still has the backing plates, two drums, one scoop, and the through-the-rocker-panel ducting. This was owned until recently by the same individual who bought it in 1970 from the owner who bought it in 1963. The last time it saw the light of day was 1972 when the owner did a little bit of poor-quality bodywork in preparation for painting. It had a fairly rough life in its first dozen years, and is a mechanical mess, but rather interestingly really appears to have been silver blue with red interior! Hardtop only. One of the original 144 made with the brakes option---they're still hiding out there!
