Radiator part # 3150916 - 61/63

Help!!
I have the above in my '61 but it has a date code of M 63. The part # is correct for the 61 but what is with the date code?

You have a SERVICE replacement radiator manufactured in 1963. This radiator was avilable from GM in SERVICE for many years after its PRODUCTION use ended.

Your service replacement is NOT configured as were the production radiators. In addition to a later date of manufacture your inlet neck is stamped amuminum instead of cast.

The 1961 916's were different from 1962 916's in that a square boss appears on top of the cast inlet neck in 1961.
