    '63 Parking Brake J - Bolt

I'm loooking for a more authentic reproduction of this part. The piece I bought from Long Island looks good but broke in the driveway after a couple of years (once a month, 9 months per season here in the great white north). Autopsy revealed this was a part made up of two pieces; a straight chunk of all-thread and a tapped, angled clevis pin. The 5/16 thread is tapped into a 3/8 dia. section rod leaving precious little material to bear the load. The wall of the tube is so thin you can see the impression of the threads on the outside where the tap stretches the tube. I'm amazed it didn't break on the first application.

With a single master circuit system I want components I can depend on. Any recommendations?
