I recently purchased a BatteryMINDer. It is a "smart" charger (not a trickle charger) and has all of the features that a BatteryTENDer has PLUS what they call "PulseMode." According to the manufacturer, PulseMode creates high frequency pulses that de-sulfate the battery plates. A battery with sulfated plates appears to take a full charge but when placed under a load runs down very quickly. This was the case with my much abused lawn mower battery. After a week on the BatteryMINDer, the battery takes a full charge and performs like new. It is now hooked up to my '60 and doing its thing. The BatteryMINDer and BatteryTENDer both have a suggested retail price of $59.95. I bought my MINDer for $39.95 plus $5.70 shipping from batterymart.com. I do not have any connection with either company. I posted this FYI after reading Sunday's discussion here on the board on battery life.
