On my '67 convertible, with the window down, looking down inside of the window storage compartment in the door it is yellow, which I assume to be the primer. Is this supposed to be the same color as the car? Thanks.

The inside of the doors had a lot of color overspray especially around the top. -

Hope you are not saying that your car isnt yellow now because chances are it was.Of course,its possible just the door came off a yellow car.Ive looked at that spot for years to get a preliminary idea if a car was the original color.Look now at some other telltale spots.Maybe under the doorsill plates,or on the underdash bar next to the serial plate,or under some of the underhood blackout near the hood latches.There are other spots as well.Each of us probably has a favorite spot to check.Of course,a really through restoration could remove all these telltale spots.I know because I was bit by one a while back too!!!!!!!!..........Bill SComment
