    Low fuel indicator on 1977

    Hi Folks.
    I am getting my 1977 ready for performance verification in April 2002.
    I need to know how the low fuel system works. I know that the unit lights when the fuel is low.
    What I need to know is when the ignition key is first turned on does this low fuel indicator lamp light for a few seconds before starting the engine.
    Also, is this module still available?
