cotter pin for trailing arm shims

Having replaced my 2 hole shims in my 1968 with the stainless slotted shims, what aprox location did chevy drill the holes for the cotter pin?

I'm assuming we push the shims down as far as they will go, and drill the hole there?

    Thanks

    Steve

Yes, down in the lower corner. You could just take a peak at a later model very easily to satisfy that you know exactly where to put it.
