    C1 antenna

Bubbas been at it again, he cut a hole in the rear fender of my 59 for a radio shack antenna. I want to mount a correct antenna but am not sure where to put the new hole. Could somebody please send me the measurement from the tail light to the antenna and from the top of the wheel opening to the antenna.

    Re: C1 antenna

Clark - Have you checked the AIM where it describes the radio installation? My 62 AIM calls out the location dimensions for the antenna hole, but it is referenced to the "windsplit" which you don't have on your 59. It should be spelled out a little differently for yours. Regards....

I have checked my AIM and there are no measurements. Am I the only one with an antenna on a C1? If no one has measurements does anyone have a pic, inside of the trunk and out. Thanks!

        Clark,

From the center of the antenna to the edge of the chrome bezel of the taillight is 3 5/8". The antenna is directly aligned with the stainless steel strip down the center of the taillight lens. The measurement to the wheel well opening is not easy to get is probably meaningless anyway.

Is the hole from the factory a 'round' hole. Bubba must have been at work on mine as well, as the hole is sort of squared out,
