I have removed the regulator with motor attached but the gear holes for installing the "safety" bolt are not aligned. How can I remove the motor safely in this situation? Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: Power Window Regulator - Motor Removal?
Keith, I'd clamp the main & long frame in a vice to keep them from moving, then I'd try to remove the big spring with big Vice-Grips on that flat area before the hook. Wear thick gloves, safety glasses and a face shield. Oh, and do it far away from people, cars, and delicate dinnerware.

Re: Power Window Regulator - Motor Removal?
Thanks Rich. I decided to reconnect the motor/regulator to the harness. With door open I set the regulator on a cardboard box box just under the door so the harness connection could reach. Used a length of wire to ground the motor to the door and used the power window button to line the holes up. Installed the safety bolt and the took the motor off via the three bolts.- Top

Re: Power Window Regulator - Motor Removal?
Ahh, I was thinking the motor wasn't working. If it works, what you did is the way to align the holes.
If it wasn't, I think my method may have been a alternative.
