Hi Roger,
Have you considered that many front clips come with a hood too? Maybe you should wait on buying a hood until you find a clip.
Here are some detail pictures of a hood. Perhaps they'll help you determine what you're looking at.
Also, note that the perimeter of the under side of the panel has been blasted to promote the bond with the hood's inner reinforcement.

In the first picture note there's a hint of body color under the blackout coat that the foam seal on the core support wore off.

A good point Alan, I was not sure if the clips would come with a hood. I would prefer that. Most of the clips I have seen are without a hood but also not original. Really just looking and waiting while I get on with other things. Plenty to do.ThanksRoger
