    1967 Fuse panel Fuse Colors

This is the 1967 Fuse Panel. Top to bottom.

    10A BU Lps/Gages
    25A Heater
    10A Radio
    4A Panel Lps
    20A Tail/Stop
    20A Cig Ltr/Hazard

Since it was loaded with 5 fuses and part of the harness assembly, the fuses are not AIM'd separately. Just the lower 20A (106653), clear, gets installed after the lower screw is installed.

Archives not telling me any colors, so I found that elsewhere, except the 4A.

What color is the 4 A fuse? (EDIT....NEVER MIND. JG says 4A is Pink.)

    Loaded total
    2 10A Red
    1 25A White
    1 4A Pink
    2 20A Clear

    Thanks,
    Rich

ps I'll just leave this here for the next guy.

That is true for a heater only cars. RPO C60 A/C got a 30 amp fuse for the heater. Not sure on color

      Yes agreed, 1967 AIM UPC C60 Page E1 Item 7 Part# 120114 is a Fuse AGC 30A.

      My data states Green.

      AIM Item notes:
120114 Fuse - Insert in Fuse Panel receptacle marked "HEAT - AIR-COND"

It is interesting to note that FUSE "call out" on UPC C60; SHEET E1 (DWR DATE 5-23-66/REL 5-24) in the 1967 CORVETTE AIM I have lists
p/n 129114 & this is the p/n for the 1.250" 30A (3AG or AGC) fuse on some FUSE information I have & it does not list a COLOR CODE. In addition, p/n 129114 is the FUSE part number call out in the C60 section of the 1964 thru 1966 CORVETTE AIMs as well as the 1967 CORVETTE AIM. FUSE p/n 9426331 is the 1.250" 30A (3AG or AGC) fuse that has the COLOR CODE which is listed as "GRN LT."
As with other things, it might have taken some time for the 30A color coded fuses to make it into the 1967 CORVETTE PRODUCTION line. Pete

          Peter,
Aren't the color stripes on the inside of the glass and not painted on the outside?

Don - As Keith has noted the colored strip or band we find on 67 FUSES is usually on the inside of the glass tube at least for the 1.250" fuses & the DIM. MIN. of the stripe is .100". As long as we're on the subject, the shorter fuses like the 0.625" fuse 5A (1AG or AGA) INST LPS FUSE used on C3s can have a 0.030" TAN stripe according to the FUSE info but the 5A FUSEs made by BUSS that I have seen have "dap" of TAN paint on the outside of the glass. Also NOTES on the FUSE info read as follows
              1. OPTIONAL CONSTRUCTION - COLOR CODE MAY APPEAR ON THE ELEMENT.
              2. (*) FOR .625 FUSE LENGTHS, A .12 MIN DIA IDENTIFYING DOT MAY BE USED OPTIONALLY IN LIEU OF A STRIPE.

Last week while researching, I read that the band could be either side. See post #21 by John Hinckley.

Here are 2 original fuses removed from this '67. Color bands are inside.

The Winter 2003 issue of The Restorer had color pictures of four original Corvette fuse blocks on the back page. It was the only way we had to get color images in the magazine back in those days.

Terry, I remember that color backpage. Boy I'd love to get myself one of those 1050810 fuse kits. I never saw one in person.

However, I just happen to run across my own little recent fuse kit acquisition......

NOS, 3 complete '67 sets(non C60), from my deceased best friend Chuck's buddy and past co-worker, "Corvette Enthusiast" Extraordinaire & friend of mine. I have one set for the '67 I'm on and 2 sets for another Corvette buddy of mine down here in FL. I just got them yesterday in the mail. Please do not ask what we paid for them.

                    All are colored inside.
