    '88 - Restore Weather Stripping

There are just a few spots around the top and windows that perhaps could use a touch up. I used Meguiar's Vinyl & Rubber 40 on my spare tire and it made it look nice without the shine you get from most of the products. Does this need attention or should I leave well it as is? Use 40 or something else?

Unless I missed something in the JG the targa top is judge in place on the car so it would cover that weather strip.

The 40 could help clean it up, but this is what I would use: Apply and let it sit and then wipe any excess. Be careful around any area that may be cracked or peeling. Just try the 40 first and see your results. Use the blue shop paper towel to wipe it down with the 40. It should be fine with the 40 only.

Your owner manual will have a recomended product under appearance care - weatherstrips. I don't have a download pdf of your year, but for my later Corvettes it has been a sparing application of GM dielectric grease.

I'll buy some and give it a try.
