    Hardtop Hold Down

I need to replace the spring within the hold down(front windshield).
Not sure how to take the pin out and put back in?
    Have some pics attached.

I have no experience with this part. However, I think the pin could likely be removed by pressing or driving it out from the small end. However, you need to properly support the opposite side of the part before applying force to the pin.

By the way, did you ever have any family that live in Fresno, CA?

      James,
Had a an issue with the hook part on a soft top, drilled the pin and punched through, then ordered a SS pin on the net cut to size, centre punched the end and flared over with a ball pein hammer - works a treat. Not sure is you can get replacement pins from Glassworks the hardtop guys ?

It's a fiddly job getting the spring set up correctly
Make sure the pin goes in the correct way

I think the pin I got (double check your pin measurements) was 5mm x 40mm then I cut it down, the org pin heads are slightly rounded - the one I replaced it with has a flat shoulder, but does the job - Keith
