This is not a Corvette question although I do have one. I also have a 1998 Camaro with LS-1 and Tremec 6-speed manual. Ever since I have purchased this car I have notice that when I shift from 4th to 5th and 5th to 6th I have to do so slowly with a slight hesitation between. If I do not then I can hear the gears grinding. Once I have gone though this procedure the next time can be a little faster but certainly not as fast as shifting in the lower gears. Since this transmission was also used on the Corvette of those years I am wondering if anyone else has the same problem. I suspect syncros are bad but a lot of work to pull and change. Comments appreciated.
