Bob,Just stumbled on this thread and thought that I'd share the route that I took with our 3 car garage space: Porcelin tile floor bought from Floor & Decor for $1 sq.ft. If you're laying on the floor, it's almost luxurious to lay on a tile floor. Just had out C4 up on 4 jack stands with no issue. Same for the floor jack. In the end, it was about $800 more than laying an epoxy floor, but what a difference!
I spent a number of years managing our company's NASCAR sponsorship program and had the opportunity to go through Penske's race shop in NC and it has a tile floor. Good enough for the Captain...certainly good enough for me...
Holy COW...$1 per square foot !
You must be livin' right
looks great...thx,

Hi Leif,Bob,
Your new tile floor looks absolutely terrific. When I did my 20 year old floor 13 years ago, I was concerned about doing epoxy because of the floors age and dirty condition. The guys who did mine ground the floor clean with diamond cutting discs and, then, thoroughly cleaned with muriatic acid. These guys did airplane hangers and they told me to let it setup for 7 days and you could land a 747 on it and it wouldn't pull up. Picture below taken a few weeks ago...13 years and counting.
Beautiful floor, garage and car
Does your epoxy floor have a non-slip grit surface ?
If not, is it slippery with wet shoes, etc. ?thx,
