Were you not able to isolate the noise while running the drive train with the car in the air (and suspension supported as noted above)? Use a stethoscope or hose held to your ear.

Are your shocks of standard length?

Shocks too long will cause wear at end of half-shafts by u-joint. Wear there could be a source of speed related noise.

Peter, I believe Edward and Frank mentioned to check the rear ends front mount to the frame bracket. I've repaired numerous cars with issues in that area from crushed cushion, bent bracket, and "broken spine syndrome" which when the body deflects down ( usually more with passengers) and the front yoke rubs the body. Often it's because the rivets at the bottom of the metal bulkhead behind the seats have let go. 63-64s don't usually get that as often if the inner seat belt bracket/ body mount is in good shape and the body is being held up by the frame brackets. Issues in that area can make sounds from rubbing to loud banging of yoke on the body and or frame.

Our '63 Coupe had that exact problem.... Worn crushed front differential mount, along with the snubber bracket side mount holes ovalled out.

A new rubber mount cushion and a reinforced mount(I welded thick washers to it), solved the noise.

Unfortunately, I broke one forward bolt in the snubber mount upon removal. I had to pull the driveshaft u-joint, then I used ratchet straps and pry bars to pull down the differential enough to drill out the broken bolt in the diff. Luckily the bolt came out without damaging threads in the diff. Iirc, a all day job, but fixed.
