    1967 Body Bolt (#3) Access Panel/Cover/Plate

outward facing surface of the body bolt (#3) access panel/cover/plate is supposed to be black, but what about the correct coating and/or color for the inward inward facing surface of the body bolt (#3) access panel/cover/plate???

Was it black? Was it zinc plated? Was it raw unprotected carbon steel?

Thanks in advance for your help.

When I restored my 67 the panels had never been removed. They had been painted black at the factory inside and out. My understanding is they were probably dipped in black paint as were many other parts during the assembly process.

That's the EXACT answer I was looking for. Someone with first hand experience from an original car. Thank you! Thank you!
