88-- fan keeps going when motor off

The other day-- (a hot one.) when I shut the car off ,the fan motor kept going. It also did it when I parked it for the night and it probably kept going as when I got up in the morning the battery was dead.. Does this mean that the relay is going. and is replacing the relay an easy task.

Could be a lot of things, sensor, relay, computer, etc. Hard to tell w/o doing some detective work. It is common for the fans to stay on for a while until it cools down, but they sould turn off.
