C4 Seatbelt stop button?
C4 Seatbelt stop button? Can anyone tell me where I might be able to purchase an OEM style plastic seatbelt stop button? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I don't know if you have checked the dealer or not? I would try it. By the way there is some sort of seat belt recall on the 87-88's. I have not taken mine back to the dealer, but when I ordered my restoration packet from G.M. the girl I talked to informed me. I don't have a dealer in my area I trust with my car is the problem. Check it out see what you find out! Tom -

If you find a source, let me know. As far as I can tell, this part was never available from GM as a separate piece. I looked mightily for these at one time for another GM application (identical in color and configuration to yours) and I came up "dry". It's worth checking the dealer, though. By now, there may have been enough demand for these that dealers developed some sort of alternate "supply channel". Of course, even if they have, it's unlikely it will be an identical piece. Most customers would be more interested in a FUNCTIONAL replacement rather than an "exactly original" configuration.In Appreciation of John HinckleyComment

that button may not be available as a direct piece looked up on the catalog .there are button replacements for other cars that may be satisfactory if you are not looking for 100% correctness. but the counter person would need to be versed with the parts system
( you know how that goes he would need some imagination) if you cannot get any satisfation e-mail me and i will see what i can come up with at the shop Steve
