    The rarest Corvette headlight bulb

What is the rarest headlight bulb Corvette ever used ? This one, why? because it was the first 12V all "GLASS" seal-beam used in a Corvette that is easily recognized having the 12V logo in the glass . It's the second design bulb used in the 1955 Corvette. Early 55 TIN back 12V headlights can be rebuilt as seen advertised, but once this bulb is burned out it's no good. Mid-late 55 and early 56 had them . This is also not mentioned or judged in the JM ? Just thought inquiring minds might be interested !
By the way later Chevy Car also used them.

That's it! When was the last time you ever saw one?
They made many 55 cars and when they stated using these I dont know , but late 55 cars surly did. What # 55 is your's?
If they ever judge them few people would know how to tell tin from your's.

I haven't been able to find them, that is the problem! For some strange reason there are not too many working bulbs left from over fifty years ago Mine is #299. On a side note, do you happen to have pics of the tail lights? I have two but they are a little different and I can't figure out which if either is correct. I will have to take some pics and post them up.

#299 I would say take the tin backs , the problem is knowing when all the second design parts took place like the
          Headlight bulbs
          Dist.
          Radiator shroud
          Carb
Throttle flat arm under the hood
          Carb return spring
          First, second design shielding
          Color
          And so on.

Post pic's of tail light S/S ring area, dont worry they dont judge for ether headlight yet!

I've only seen one or two of those true all glass 12-V bulbs in 25 years.

Seen a bunch of the 12 V steelbacks.
