'had two crows for lunch, roasted witha bit of rosemary--- 'said saturday was 80's and clear. Well, it is at a days high of about 34---I think it is becaues I can't see my thermo-meter that well thorugh the pouring rain and lack of sunlight.

I never thought it was so hard to identify a Corvette---nothing like a Corvair or '62 T-Bird. Around '65 while working at the local Mobile station I had my Corvette parked out front. A guy and his young son pulled in for gas and wandered over to look at the car. The boy, about 7 or 8, looked at it and asked his dad what kind of a car it was. The dad looked a the cove and said "Son, that is a Fuel Injection!" Honest to God.

On the other hand, at some recent cruise-ins during our mid 60's nights (temps), I've had situations where the kids were telling their Dad's all about my car. And, if they did ask me questions, they were from and informed mind, like; "is this the 340 hp or 365 hp engine?" Of course not wanting to be shown up by some kid I reply; "look at the valve covers!" (naw, just kidding). I enjoy talking with the kids and the adults so long as they are respectful.

Cold and snow here in NE WI. Since snow started in Nov. we've had just over 48" in our area. Rained Sat. into early Sun. AM then froze. Around zero last night so everything is coated with ice. Chipping and salting is getting old as is the winter. It's been worse than last year. Getting to old for this. No cruising around here, just trying to stay ahead of it and keep both feet on the ground.

In Western Massachusetts, we had a thin sheet of is covering everything this morning. Tomorrow night we are supposed to have an even worse ice storm. What ever happened to our global warming?

On the topic of global warming (technically now called "climate change"), did you ever notice that the hype dwindles significantly during a cold winter? Last year in most places in Canada we had some of the highest snowfalls on record (second highest ever recorded here in Ottawa--418 cm--about 167 inches) and I don't recall hearing much from our "Canadian" resident expert on global warming, Dr (of microbiology!) David Suzuki. I guess it's a bit of a hard sell to people spending hours each day digging their cars out...

In fairness, elsewhere there have been droughts and higher than normal temperatures, but northern winter isn't the time to try and build support for the "cause"...
