1962 windshield post

I have to deal with the famous broken windshield post tabs. Can any machine shop repair the two posts and prepare them for the new tabs including threads for 2 bolts. Is special tooling required.

Jerry Cohn who owns and operates Corvette Central loves to perform this service. He's done it for years and has it down. The cost is low and he does a perfect job. Call Corvette Central at 1 800 345-4122.

And no, any machine shop does not have the tooling Jerry has made to complete the job correctly.

I agree, Corvette Central does an excellent job of repairing the tabs.
I have a set on the floor in my computer room so I will take a picture and you can see how well they are repaired. The end result is much stronger then the original tab.

I had Paul Mazut do my last pair and they came out great. I believe it was only $100.00 for the pair and the turn around time was short. Rich
