Re: Ready to Order Your New Camaro?
GM's biggest problem is no sales. When sales drop 40% in one year it is very hard to reduce capacity/infrastructure by 40% to survive. All the auto manufactures are hurting, no matter how well run they are.
They have 11,000 presold orders on these that sounds pretty good to me. (I wonder how many presold orders they will get on the next Pelosimobile, Reidster, or anything from the GM Obamrama showcase...)
The Challenger has a very odd looking rear to me. It's like they took the original Challenger and forced it into a smaller rectangular box. Smoothing out all the shape. Has odd overhangs and weighs a lot. The Camaro has a great shape. IMHO it is the best looking of the 3.
Ordered mine in November, Inferno Orange SS2/RS with auto (so the wife can drive it) Also the auto 400hp engine has variable displacement allowing it to have fairly good fuel economy.
