70 Radio knobs

Installed the correct (and working) AM/FM mono radio in the car and I'm looking for pictures of the bass/treble control knob and the 'dummy' for the tuner side. I have the correct volume/tuner knobs.

I can find the stereo stuff but I'm having trouble finding out what the correct mono stuff looks like.

These are some pics of my 71. The left knob has the tang on it the right knob is plain. The numbers on the back are 3973612 and 3973613 for the left and right. Repros are available. Hope this helps.

Should be no difference in the stereo and mono, except the stereo has the balance control which is the same as the tone control on the left. Mono has one with the tang and one "blank," like Ken shows.

Michael,

Beware that the plain mono version tangless knob for '69 Corvettes is smaller in diameter than the '70 year, which fills the radio bezel well completely, the '69 version does not.

Ken/all, thanks for the pics/info, who reproduces the mono set? I can find the stereo set-up but no mono.

Mike, I a mono set from ecklers recieved stereo, reordered (no charge) mono set and got them, but had to file one without tab, it was too long and finally got it right. Steve

Here are some pics of my 1970 -- the same as Ken shows for his 1971.

Don't forget those little wave washers. They are needed so that the outer knob doesn't operate the inner knob.

Terry, great pics and thanks for the washer tip. Steve, the knobs are indeed available through Ecklers. I checked a few of the other parts vendors and they only carry the stereo stuff.

Now if I can only find originals...
