    pn deduct question

I have a 71 LS5 BB. Tech Judging Guide calls for a air cleaner element
AC 329 CW. I have been offered an AC 329 C, no W.

Would this be acceptable and if not, is it a big points hit?

    Thanks, Ken

    Re: pn deduct question

What does it look like with regard to color of paper, embossment/silkscreening on the top, and the wire mesh?

Since there is absolutely no reasonable reproduction, "almost" any older 329 is better than buying the current AC one from the store.

Pat, it is the faded yellow in color, but it has the cross, diamond mesh, not the square type. It is an original AC part with the box, sooo I am tempted to buy it. It only has the AC Type A329C on the rim

I saw some as low as $35 at Bloomington, as high as $100.

That filter would get you about the same points as a todays service replacement. Bestway on logo square mesh gets all the points if not that ParaXXX repo. No bestway corect mesh-1. Diamond mesh corect logo no bestway -2 Service replacement diamond mesh logo GM-329-3 out of 5 total. This is my way on 73's others could see it different.
