What is T0907LM date on engine pad? September 1968 for a 1969 427?

    Thanks,

    Sounds right to me. 'LM' was a '69-only suffix; 390hp & 4sp. Assembled 7th of Sept 1968.

Since 69 was a longer then usual model year you'll need to know the block casting date to determine if it is Sept. 7th 1968 or 1969.

And where would the block casting date be found, on the driver's side rear near the bellhousing?

On that early 1969 it is likely down by the starter -- slightly in front of the starter on the side of the cylinder case. Of course that only works if the cylinder case is age appropriate for the car. Look on the driver's side rear of the cylinder case too -- since you don't know what you have.

Check again. 69 would be 194679S701713.

You are correct. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I assume by the 01713 number that the '69 was probably built in late '68.

Hey, Charlie...how goes it? Thanks for the birthday greeting but it's not my car. Darn it.
Are you going to be in Killeen in October?

                          Best regards,
I'll probably leave that gas suckin' '70 at home and go to Killeen in my old less-than-economical Blazer. Some day I will let the judges have at my Corvette.
I may be there on Friday or Saturday but for sure one of those days. I've got a Richard Fortier 1st Design exhaust tip to show to the 1970-1972 owners.
