Joe, Ive seen a few gm bullitens for hot soak conditions through the years, I worked for a chevrolet dealer, maybe not corvettes, alot has to do with the climate you may live in and the type of driving being done. I believe we know that GM certainly was not perfect. motorhome starters could easily be a problem, with high rpms, no air flow and insulated floor boards with no where for the heat to escape. as other cars in the gm lines did occa. have heat soak problems , in most cases not all were related to the driving habits as stated in my post. 60s and 70s brought in the musle car era, high compression engines and gear ratios made for the drag strip, big block engines,air condition systems, hence maybe a few heat soak problems, a 70 LT1 certain needs to have the electrical system up to snuff and working properly to turn a hot engine over.
