It was a great time and fine weather, except for Thursday night heavy downpours. Special thanks to the Security folks who went above and beyond protecting flying tents and tarps in the swap meet area. I spoke with several of the guards at 6 am this morning and they told me what happened. I had a car there and appreciated what they did for all of us and thanked them personally.

        Enjoy

p.s. Special congrats to my good friend Chuck McSheehy for his Top Flighted '65 Fuelie Coupe! ....first pics.........Nice Job Chuck!
p.p.s Had my eyes on that 07 Ron Fellows Z06 all weekend!

The guard in the show car area spent quite a lot of time chasing car covers and trying to get them back on. She commented that some of the covers fit rather snuglly and others were quite loose. Hmmm, you guys might want to check and see if yours got back on your car. We noticed the next night most were tied on much better.

We have had that vender field for 6 years and had 4 in of rain with no problems. NO one is prepared for 8-10 in of rain in a 6-8 hour time span.

We did however have Lake Keen, 2 Lake Rogers and 2 new swamps. No gators though as they were still licking thier wound from ALA. 2 drowned trying to steal parts as the guards had no life versts to throw them. By Sat 11 am 99% of the area was dry with some squish underfoot.

              Re: Kissimmee Pictures-Please

This was our first trip to the Florida Regional and Ive got to say the FLA chapter did a great job. This was the first time in 6 years that we have attended a meet and it was good to see some familiar faces and meet many new people. When we got to the meet Friday we took the cover off of our car only to see that our 25+ yr old laquer paint decided to blister all over (found out its called solvent pop) the car. I would like to thank everyone that came over to help, especially John Ballard, Keith Burmeister, Paul Pierce, Ara Gechijian, Dick Capello, Jim Salvino, Nick Culkowski, and Elio Martin.
Once again, great job and thanks for a great meet! Here are a couple of pics.

What a great meet!!! The weather was, for the most part, excellent, although there were heavy rains Thursday noght and the vendor areas were pretty flooded. The rear-most vendor areas were flooded even thorugh Friday, but I saw them back on Saturday. The judging areas were mostly high and dry once the sun came out.

                    Some nice mid-years

Very nice 435. Didn't get the owner's name - sorry

Gulf Oil racer, unrestored. Interesting car and history

4,000 mile C3 used for Advanced Judging School. Great example of unrestored car.

Another nice, one-owner, unrestored car at the Advanced Judging School

For those of you interested in "one-of-a-kinds" - go for it

Very nice C3's this year. Of course, all the cars were more than just nice!

                    Parts for everyone

                    Another special interest display car

Hope this doesn't wear anyone out

                    Jim

                      John,

The last one is the 63 Z06 from Pro Team (Terry M.) sitting next to a beautiful Blue/Green Daytona Blue 63 SWC. Fantastic paint job. Almost looked like clear coat.

This was the first time I missed this event in years.

We have had a snowless January? Snow in Colorado always makes for a added incentive to go to Kissimmee.
