        Hi Steve,

Welcome! You've joined a great organization.

I like your Silver Convertible. I have one just like it. Silver over Gunmetal Vinyl, 300 hp 4 spd with AC. I realize it can be difficult to find info and parts for the gunmetal interior. I'm in the final stages of interior repairs and have learned alot in the process. Don't hesitate to contact me if you think I might be able to help!

          Rich,
My interior could use some freshening up, I'll get to it one of these days.
Post some pictures of yours, I'd like to see it.
What options do you have besides C60?
          Thanks,
          Steve

            Hi Steve,

Still a little new with adding photos to my posts, but there should be a photo of my car attached. This car is pretty bare bones. Other than A/C, the only other option I can think of is the posi rear, but few were sold without it. The car's greatest assest, other than the gunmetal interior is the fact it has only 38K on the clock. It really runs like the lightly used car it is. It's far from perfect but it has nice patina!

              Hi Rich,
I took a look at your picture and your car looks terrific!
I really like the black-wall tires.
How about a few more pictures .... I especially like engine compartment photos.

              Hi Steve,
I'd like to say welcome along with the others.
I'd enjoy seeing some pictures of your car, too! It's good reading about what people are working on but it's great to see the car.

              Regards,
              Alan

                Allan,
My car is at my office in the warehouse.
I'll pull it out on monday and get some pictures of it.
It is a far cry from Rich's car.

Rick, your car is really nice.
I'm looking forward to some detailed photos of your interior.
Mine is tired looking, the carpet was replaced many years ago with a cut pile carpet from a later year and the seats were recovered (recovered headrests also).

I plan on doing some interior work this Spring/Summer, I'll keep you guys updated.

                Best regards,
                Steve

                  Hi Alan,

Your compliment is appreciated. Hope you like the new photos. I've never really taken engine shots. It isn't the car's strong suit. Your car puts mine to shame in that department. Mine is unrestored and low mileage, so I've adopted a preservation approach to it's care. At the moment I'm finishing interior repairs from a small fire. The attached shots are before and I'm happy to say the after shots will be more historically accurate.

                  Hi Steve,

I look forward to the shots of your car. I've only seen one other silver/gunmetal car in person. It's also the only gumetal interior I've seen in person. It's owned by a buddy in my chapter. The car is so original I took a ton of detail photos to use as a guide for my repairs. His car was built the week after mine, so I'm pretty confident his is a good model. Is your car 4spd or auto?

                    Rich,
Your interior is so much nicer than mine.
I'll try to get some shots of mine tomorrow, today was really busy.
                    My car has an M21.
                    Thanks for posting the photos.

Sounds great. Any shots of other gunmetal interior cars are welcome in my photo collection! They're an invaluable resource.

                      M-21? I'm jealous!

Welcome aboard, the first rule for new people is we like pictures! There is definitely a bank of knowledge in NCRS and no question is too small for this group. I've been using this knowledge to help me find and replace all the old "Napa" maintenance parts with correct ones on my un-restored 69.

                          Jeff, nice car!!
I went through your album, it looks really good.
Mine's not that good, it looks as though the first 4-5 owners each had fun driving the daylights out of the car.
I've been slowly collecting missing parts and have rebuilt most of the systems, it's now reliable to drive and I do every chance I get.
It really needs paint but is not so bad that I ashamed to be seen in it.
Some day it will be painted but first I'll lift the body off and restore the frame.

                              Hi Steve,

Your photos give me a serious sense of de ja vous. Looks like you have a pretty good start! The interior looks like it's in nice shape. I appreciate seeing other gunmetal interiors. It wasn't the most popular choice back then.

I know you said your interior needs freshening, but I recommend being a little cautious when you go down that road as I've found most interior suppliers don't get gunmetal just right and it's worth being picky.
