Well, I was able to fulfill my father's dream and certainly had a blast doing it! Life is good...
We have a ton of video, pictures and blogs!

Fitch signed the dash as we were waiting for the parade:

Afterward a friend of mine and I went on the famous Le Mans ferris wheel check out the view:

All in all - it was an incredible day, one I'll always cherish for the rest of my life.

Lance, great pictures and even better that you got to climb that mountain. A heck of a thrill for John, also. You had alot of people cheering you on and brought alot of grins and even tears from many here and looking on from above. Enjoy the time. I think it is about 1:30 am there now---you still awake?

Congratulations and thank you for sharing this incredible accomplishment! Steve is right, you have more fans than you will ever know cheering you on. Two of the biggest, are your dad and Mike Pillsbury. Both were great guys and true corvette enthusiasts. God Bless you and your family and thank you again.

Special thanks for your warm messages guys. I'm thrilled and honored to be a part of this small piece of history that was made. I just wrapped up a wonderful dinner with Mr. Fitch - what an amazing man! He told me some incredible stories about his POW days - simply astonishing...

I was able to relax a bit today and enjoy plenty of conversations with fellow Corvette owners in Europe. I've convinced many of them to head over to Corvettes at Carlisle. I believe we're going to start seeing a strong number of oversea visitors moving forward. They all really love the history behind the Corvette, John was downright a legend (well deserved I might add) during this trip. Each driver paid him with much respect and everyone around him enjoyed his company. He signed plenty of autographs during his stay and we handed out over 7,000 hero cards telling the story about the car and our effort. Let's just say we painted Le Mans with our effort in a big way!
