How do you store your T-tops?

On days that you don 't want to carry your t-tops around how do you SAFELY store them out of the way so that accidental damage is avoided. I have no solid ideas and I've heard horror stoies that I'd like to avoid. Thankfully I havn't had a problem but I have "stupid moments" from time to time and do my best to deal with my disability, please help!!!

I normally store mine in the trunk of my Volvo. I always have the tops on the Vette when it is in the garage. But, on the days when it is cool enough here in Texas to take the tops off for a drive I wrap them in blankets and stash them in the trunk. I have had a near miss or two putting them on the floor in the garage so now I figure they are at least out of the way.

      Lynn,

My tops are always on the car, I store them in the factory bags in the stowage compartment with the factory straps when I remove the panels when traveling topless.

Lynn, check the corvette parts supplier catalogs, there's a padded and zippered stowage bag that will keep your tops well protected when off the car. Also, when the tops are off and you want something that will keep any debris out of the cockpit (for use only when parked), there's a folding pad that sits on the t-top center bar and overlaps the windows about 6". It's held in place with a nylon tie strap and 3 suction cups that attach to the side windows. Easy on and off, folds up and stows in the back when not in use. Good luck.
