    Banding Springs

You can easily band your leaf springs by hand and not have to find a tool for doing this. Put your springs together and clamp the spot you are banding to get them nice and tight at that spot, prebend your banding material around the spring, put the cut rubber in place and slip the band over the rubber, slide the clip over both pieces after closing the prebend a little more, pull and use the side of the spring of the spring as leverage to get the band tight, you may have to take a rubber mallet to tap on the band if it has slack to bring it up hill to make it snug, then take a hammer ( your choice) and pop the clip a few times to flatten it good, I left the band 1/4 long and bent it over the clip so the band can't slip back, worked great and looks great, who cares how it judges, it ain't real anyway, just like 3/4 of this stuff. Thanks, Brad.
