    Paint Engine

I have a Blue Flame 6 out of my 54. I have the engine paint number from Dupont 73119 but no one in Oregon seems to have the cross over numbers and I have tried the internet. Is there other code someone knows or even the name of the paint. Thanks for reading

1954 Corvette #3666 - "The Blue Devil" - Pennant Blue - restoration started

I don't know if I can be of any help, but I'd try hemmings and look to see about special paint manufacturers. They are around, I know when I had my 79 flight judged, I used Dupicolor #221 'corporate Blue' which is only a shade away from the original engine color (You had a tough time even looking at some of the places still in original pait and the arears I painted with the #221, but the judges didn't deduct any pints because of 1. The paint is now defuct and not in production Anywhere, and because the #221 match sufficiently well. But I'm sure if you contacted DuPont Inc. They could direct you to a paint shop who could mix a pint or so that is exactly what you want , despite being a much better chemically engineered paint. Good Luck.

"tcpglobal" and "Bill Hirsch" both list engine enamel for the 1953-54 Chevrolet. I would try them. tcpglobal lists their engine paint as Duplicolor, but they also indicate that they can match any color. They have an extensive library.

Also, as Jim has stated, contact Dupont Technical Service and request their formula or crossover formula for this paint.

I would also check the bigger Corvette/GM parts companies like Paragon, Zip, Ecklers, Danchuck, etc. etc.

That's not the same as the early 6 cylinder paint. The corporate blue is the engine color used for L1977-81 Corvettes
