C1 Door Post

What is the difference between a 3754012 RH door post and a 3764258 RH door post? Is the latter an earlier version? I have tried to match a 3754012 to my 56 and it is too big to work with the garnish molding, the post is thicker and it is thicker at the front of the post at the point of where it meets the windshield. Any help would be appreciated.

56-7 door posts were serrated and later were smooth. Right hand part # 3723248.

I agree, but I also have a serrated post that is not the same configuation as the 248 post. What year application is hte 012 appropriate for? It definitely doesn't work for a 56.

Thanks for all the input. I really appreciate it. Anyone know of the whereabouts of a 3723248 LH door post available for sale? I am ready to finish my 56 project and have come up one LH door post short!
