C1 Hardtop quarter window dating -- on the inside or outside of window?

My old windows have no dates--evidently they are old replacements. I'm getting new replacements with dates; I ordered a pair, but received only a single window. I don't know if it's a left or a right because I don't know if the date should be on the outside or inside (and the judging manual does not specify) surface of the plexiglas. Can someone tell me whether the date and other markiings are on the inside or outside of the hardtop quarter windows?

    Thanks,

    Pete

Pete, Mine were on the inside on my '62 hardtop. Just saw your post whilst doing a search, so you've probably had the answer for months now.

As strange as it might seem, the windows are stamped both on the same side.
Therefore when you install them, one will be stamped on the inside and the other on the outside.

Hi Chuck, Thanks for the reply. I discovered what Bruce said, i.e., they only stamped quarter windows one way and they went on either side of the car. I ended up getting all new, dated windows when rebuilding my '57 hardtop. Not an easy job, rebuilding hardtops, but it turned out very nice (thanks to a helpful NCRS member I corresponded with as I went and he helped me over any problems I encountered along the way).

          Pete -

C1 hardtop quarter windows and C1 door glass were released the same way - they were flat glass (Plexiglas for the quarter window), and there was no point in creating LH and RH part numbers for parts that were identical other than what side the logo was on. The door glass (as received at St. Louis) had LH and RH part numbers only because they were assemblies that included the LH and RH frames and sashes.
