    1964 A/C Coupe Radio Removal

I have put this off long enough. I need to pull the radio in my 64 A/C coupe. What are the stpes to do so? I have it loose, the Y duct out and the fresh air pull bracket down but it ain't comin out. Do I need to remove all of the A/C ducts? (I hope not). My center console has the original riveted brackets on it that holds the side panels. I would prefer to not bend those off to take the console out. Any help here would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Jace Holt

    Jace:

It wiggles out toward the accelerator pedal, as you probably already know since you removed the Y-duct. If you have the tunnel insulation piece in there, go ahead and pull it for more wiggle room.

I've never had to pull the console plate or the underdash ducts. Maybe the flex hose (just can't recall).

ps: I always get ride of those side panel brackets on the console plate. What a pain and totally not needed.
