Can't fix this 1959

Can someone please help me figure out how to tighten the passenger door window post frame, the one that closes onto the windshield frame, it's really loose, do I remove the door panel and tighten it up in there? Please help thanks

John I believe this is covered in the Corvette Servicing Guide or ST-12as it is called, section 1-17. If you don't have one I suggest to obtain one from the NCRS store, it is a very valuable piece of information.Terry

Yes, remove the door panel and you will see the main bolts (5/16) and the studs with nuts that come down from the post through the top of the door. You may need to remove the large door access plate to reach up with an extension (window raised) to reach those. Usually, tightening the main bolts will do it. Wiggle the post with the door panel off and you will see what needs to be tightened. As mentioned, the ST-12 has a good picture of this. Good luck Dan
