Re: Zone and dealer number
Gibson Motors began in 1916. They began selling Chevrolets in December 1932. The dealerships closed in 1982. Bergstrom Dealerships opened when Gibson closed. Bergstrom is still in business, I am going to the library to search for the street address. I believe the 1966 coupe I have had for 40 years was sold new by this dealer.- Top

You bought the Corvette 40 years ago in 1975. The car was nine years old when you bought it. I recommend that you use the NCRS Historic Document Service to find out where the car was ordered from new. The Shipping Data Report Service cost is $40. This will confirm the name of the Chevrolet dealer who ordered the Corvette in 1966. Sometimes Chevrolet dealers did dealer swaps from other dealers' inventories to fill a sales order or purchased out right from an other dealer inventory. This document service will help you find the original dealership of your car with the name of the dealership, the zone number, the dealer number, and the shipping date. Sometimes dealers will take back another Corvette in trade to fill their inventory. This means a car may be sold from a dealership, but was order from another one. When you get the documents, please post the results for the NCRS members to learn about your Corvette.
