My 69 vette came from zone 14, dealer number 324 - NCRS data base says Coastal Chevrolet but can't find a dealer that begins with "L" - can anyone help ?? Thanks, Gina

When the NCRS dealer book does not show a particular dealer, in this case 14-324, we try to include what is believed to be the first letter of the dealer name based on the names of dealers that are adjacent to 324. In this case it is L. On the other hand the NCRS data base that is referred to is what you see on the NCRS website and is only as accurate as the information that members have contributed.

well, have you contacted Costal Chevrolet - they have been in business since at least 1968

Yes, I did - they said no, and the person I contacted spoke with sales manager - I think the Coastal Chevrolet back in 1968 was bought by Anderson Automotive - need to find someone that maybe worked for them back then but so far I haven't had any luck. thank you for the suggestion!

Gina, Check with a local library for old city directories or old newspapers on microfilm for a list of Chevrolet dealers.

I also found 14-323 and 14-325 was Loving Chevrolet, Silver Spring, MD - but no record of 14-324......I wonder if that also could be Loving Chevrolet???

Try calling SPORT CHEVROLET (240) 293-4102 located in Silver Spring, Md. Ask them what their current dealer code is now and any help that they could provide of what the active Chevrolet dealers would have been in the late 1960's in Silver Spring, Md. If that does not help you, go to your library and ask how to search 1968-1969 phone directory for Silver Spring Md. Chevrolet dealers would be identified in the phone book. Hope that helps

thanks for all the info - I already called the Silver Spring historical society, all they could provide was the address of Loving Chevrolet, said they didn't have anything else. I'll keep trying! thanks again!
