Anyone know the name of the first owner of unusual option 1967 corvette sold new in toronto ontario by British americain chev that was located on avenue rd in Toronto

Am I correct to assume you have tried a Vehicle History Search through the MTO or a UVIP through Service Ontario? I don't know how far back their records go but a few years ago the UVIP for my son in law's '78 went back as far as the original owner.

thanks for reply . You are correct in your assumption. Records at Province MTO do not go back that far. GM Canada Vintage Services (note: I personally know George Zaporo) person who runs it) will no longer disclose original owner name due to Privacy Act Rules.
Have done and waiting results reply from SPECIAL REQUEST : MICROFILM SEARCH with respect to the owner history of the corvette

(note; the regular vehicle history request only goes back to 1980 but they still have the earlier microfilm records that they can check to determine the ownerership from car new date 1967 to when Douglas I Speirs bought car from Performance Cars in St.Catharines Ontario a used sports car dealer that is long out of business.
Have done numerous other types of enquiries as well

My '67 was originally sold at Gorries Chevy/Olds in Toronto. I do have the document from GM Vintage Services, from G. Zaporo.
Does anyone know if there is a more detailed search available? I'm not interested in owners names, only of when, and at what mileage it changed hands. Are there any 'Carfax' type reports available, dating back to 1967 from Canada?

Additional things to do :

(1) Put your Corvette information in the Corvette C2 Registry

i.e. The Corvette C2 Registry

The reasons are:
-you may find that someone has already put the information in you are after about your car
-people that have information will be able to contact you

(2) There is a retired salesman that handled all the C1 and C2 and C3 Corvette sales by Gorries AND HE KEPT RECORDS OF ALL THE SALES DETAILS ON THE CARS ALONG WITH VIN#'s , owners sold to etc

He Is:
Former Gorries salesman that has sales records
(note: says he gave information to Jim Gessner)
I was not a salesman, rather a FI specialist frequently called in to do FI and HP tuneup and race car work. My close friend Jerry Coffey was a salesman at Gorries and then Golden Mile from 1953 until retiring and giving me all of his sales files. Jerry died about 4 yrs ago.

I've 'Googled' my VIN number and nothing came up, aside from what I've posted.
I already did a search using the NMVTIS website, and got the history back to the year 2000, but from 1967 to 2000, I have nothing so far.
I also have the NCRS judging sheets from 2006, where it got Top Flight in Chapter judging.

I emailed Lance Hill, and he got right back to me and said he has a GM Canada Microfiche page with the car on it, but no dealership paperwork.
When I get the time, I'll contact the MTO, maybe they have something.

Anyway, my VIN # is 194377S114718. I know its a long shot, but maybe your records have something.

You did not tell me car was in U.S. and then came back to Canada. If the car was in the U.S. in the 1973 era I can check Corvette Club records for the Vin# and if there will be able to tell you owner name and address. Would you know by chance which state it was in.
Also when car came back in to canada Canadian customs would have issued a "pink card- K20" so that the car could get a canadian ownership and licence plates. Have you checked with the canadian who brought car back in to canada as to where and from whom he got it in US. Let me know if you get answers. Also if you can pin down the re-entry date back in to canada there is an approach you may be able to use with canada customs to get copy of the K20 which would indicate vehicle details and owner etc prior to be ing imported in to Canada

The Corvette was produced in March 1967.
The NCRS Shipping Data Report says: Contact GM Canada.
The GM Canada Report [see the attached], says the car was shipped to Gorries Chevy/Olds LTD, Toronto, Ontario in March 1967.
I assume it was sold by Gorries to a Canadian citizen.
Fast forward to the year 2000, when a gentleman in Ohio [USA] bought the car and restored it.
What I'm trying to find is where the car was from 1967 to the year 2000.
