I have ordered several Shipping Data Reports in the past. Would like to know why the dealer address is not available. If the name of the dealer is available should not the address be too? The car had to be shipped to an address...

Good question. However, a simple call to the Chamber of Commerce or even the library for that given town will give you the info. you need. I've done that with several cars. You may get a "current" phone number for the dealer back then as "BR-549". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9xhTomqDTzE

Simple answer, the dealer directory does not include street address. The actual shipping record only contains zone and dealer number, dealer name is retrieved from the dealer directories.

My 63 shipping report states (Lawrence Hall Chevrolet, Anson TX).
Back then the company only had one location (several now) and I called them and talked to the owner...
They are still in business in their original location.

Guess I will have to resort to the public library. The car was shipped to R&S Chevrolet in Joplin, Missouri.

the following Yenko.net link lists R&S Chevrolet's address as 1600 E 7th St. Joplin Missouri. Dealer 689, Zone 05.

The string also says: "...it was R&S...until just recently when the founding families last active member, son Rob, sold it to new owners; it's now CrossRoads Chevrolet-Cadillac today.

Gary- If you haven't checked the NCRS Dealer Code Database, there are several entries for that Joplin dealership.

I looked on Google Earth and there is a Walmart grocery store there now.

I often have to check dealer addresses against build dates to ensure we have the correct address for a particular year and even month at times.
See attached ad dated March 13, 1966 for R & S.
