Just got my shipping data report, I thought my 67 427/390 Goodwood green convertible was purchased new in New Hampshire. Anyone know of this Colonial Chevrolet in Norfolk VA ?

Some years ago I found that my 67 was also delivered new at Colonial. At the time VA was very good about providing any info on title history. I'd guess that has probably changed. At any rate they did not have any info on my Corvette which made me think the car was purchased by a Navy guy and registered in his home state, which was often the case. Good luck with the search.

Funny you should mention that. I was in the Navy from '71 to '75 stationed on a ship out of Norfolk. I remember a guy getting out upon arrival back from one of our cruises. He said he was picking up his new car and then heading back home. Don't remember what kind of car he was getting or where he was from. Digging thru some old back issues of Sports Car Graphic, ran across this ad Even though it's for Ford, no doubt, GM had a similar program.scg ad.jpg

You could check with the local library and search old newspapers for ads about the dealership. Also local historical societies are a good soure for info.
